First Haflinger to be freeze marked with the Haflinger Registry Alpha Symbol

On May 30th, 2009, at the Haflinger Horse Show in Yreka, CA, the Haflinger mare owned by Kathy Graves was the first registered Haflinger to be identified and freeze marked with the H6 Alpha symbol.  A local news reporter from the Siskiyou Daily News, Mike Slizewski, was there for the event and will be publishing articles in the local area newspapers including the the "Cascade Horseman".

Reports of Missing or Stolen Freeze Marked Horses

Rarely someone will steal a horse who has the Alpha Angle Freeze Mark.  This usually happens with the freeze mark was hidden under the mane.  When the thief discovers the freeze mark, they will usually dump the horse off as quickly as possible.  The other freeze marked horses that may be missing are usually a result of experiencing a natural disaster.  If your freeze marked horse is missing, contact us immediately and we will post the information here.  We can also help you notify persons and organizations that will help you get the word out.
